FAQs
For how long will my ticket be valid?
Your ticket is valid for both days of any two-day expo within the city for which you’ve purchased tickets, though most people find that attending for just one day is sufficient.
I have purchased tickets, but never received them. What should I do?
If you have purchased tickets, but not received them, do not worry. Working In does not issue physical tickets. When you book, an e-ticket is sent to the email address you provided. You will need to print this e-ticket and bring it with you to the expo.
If you did not receive your e-ticket, please contact expo-tickets@workingin.com with the name of the expo, full names of all ticket holders, and the email address you used when purchasing your ticket to be resent full confirmation details.
I have lost my e-tickets. What should I do?
If it is the day of the expo and you have lost or misplaced your e-ticket, please proceed to the expo and speak to counter staff who have access to a record of every ticket sold. You will need to show picture ID to have your e-ticket replaced.
I am having difficulty purchasing my tickets. What should I do?
If you’re experiencing difficulty purchasing your ticket(s) through our website, there are three general reasons that may apply:
- Temporary errors – If you receive an error screen, it is likely that there is a temporary error with the system. Try to purchase your tickets again the following day.
- Declined credit card – A ‘declined’ response is generated by your bank and cannot be altered by our systems. To resolve this error, please contact your bank directly.
- Invalid credit card – We accept only Visa and MasterCard. We cannot, unfortunately, accept payment from American Express (Amex), Diners Club, or any debits cards such as Switch Maestro or Visa Electron.
Advance purchase of expo tickets is only available with a credit card. We cannot accept bank transfers, Western Union, cash or cheque.
Can you help me get a work visa?
As we are not an immigration agency, we are unfortunately unable to assist with specific visa enquiries.
We provide information on immigration at our expos, but for queries specific to your individual situation, you may also need to contact the government’s immigration department or a licensed immigration consultant or lawyer.
Are the expos restricted to UK citizens?
No, the expos are not restricted to citizens from the countries in which the expos are held. If you are able to travel to any of our expos, you are very welcome to attend, regardless of your nationality.
Can you help me get a job?
While Working In is not a recruitment agency, we are keen to help you make contact with as many potential employers as possible. Through our website, www.workingin.com, you will find links to available jobs and employers seeking skilled workers in Australia and Canada, and you can apply for these jobs online through the website. For other countries represented at the Health Jobs Around the World Expo, you’ll need to submit your CV at the event.
Our goal at Working In is to place skilled health workers like you in touch with the best employers.
What should I bring to the expo?
We would recommend bringing multiple copies of your CV in hard copy. Many exhibitors will also have the facility to access your CV on disc or memory stick. You may also like to include a photo of yourself on your CV so that exhibitors will be able to remember you.
What’s the best time to go?
The expo is extremely popular and does get busy, especially on Saturday between 10am and 2pm. To avoid queues and maximise your time with potential new employer and other service providers and experts, we suggest arriving on Sunday morning or late afternoon on either day.
Do I need to attend both days of the expo?
Most people find that attending one day of the expo is sufficient. The same companies exhibit on both days and the seminars that we run on the first day are repeated again on the second.
Who is exhibiting?
Every expo has a variety of exhibitors. We post a list of types of roles that will be on offer at the expo on our website closer to the date.
Do I need to wear a suit?
No, you do not need to wear a suit. Smart casual attire is sufficient.
Do you have concession prices?
Currently, we do not provide group discounts.
Can I bring my children?
You may bring your children to the expo. Attendees under 16 years of age are free.
