Work in Oman

Like all other Gulf States, Oman is suffering from a shortage of skilled health workers in several different occupational industries. The country relies heavily on foreign workers to fill those jobs.

In order to be eligible to work in Oman, you need to hold a residence permit which must be sponsored by a local employer. Foreign workers aged between 21 and 60 can apply for an Omani employment visa. You are required to submit the standard entry documents, as well as a letter of invitation from an Omani employer and an official work permit issued by the Omani Directorate General of Labour Affairs.

You can apply for an employment visa at an Omani embassy or consulate abroad. Alternatively, you can enter Oman on a tourist visa and seek employment in the country. When you find an employer willing to sponsor you, you can then upgrade your tourist visa to an employment one.
